DESCRIPTION:The Dixie Chapter will be hosting a rally in Lakeland\, FL to coincide with the Lakeland Sun and Fun Air Show.  In addition to the Air Show\, there are a lot of interesting things to explore and do within driving distance.  \n\n\n\n\nVisit Colt Creek State Park to see the Green Swamp Wilderness Area and all its wildlife (come early in the day if you want to see the alligators). \n\n\n\nVisit the Toufayan Bakery Outlet Store in Plant City for discounts on your favorite bakery items.\n\n\n\nVisit Bonnet Springs Park to walk its trails and see its botanical collections.\n\n\n\nIf you are bringing kids\, the Florida Children’s Museum is a must.\n\n\n\nIf you love planes\, the Florda Air Museum is a good stop\, showcasing history linked to the SUN ‘n FUN aerospace expo.\n\n\n\nThe Lakeland area is surrounded by parks where you can get outdoors\, museums where you can learn\, arts and culture events that you can enjoy.\n\n\n\nCome join us and plan to have fun.\n\n\n\n\nThe Sun and Fun Air Show is a very popular happening at the Lakeland Linder Airport.  Campsites and hotel rooms are already filing up\, so it would be wise to get those reservations in early.  This is their biggest event of the year\, so it would be wise to get those reservations in early. \n\n\n\nSanlan RV & Golf Resort has set aside spots 98 through 110 for our group.  All sites are grass and have full hookups.  If you would rather have concrete\, feel free to ask what is available.  The rate for their Standard sites is $50 per night\, with a 10% group discount as long as at least 5 nights are booked and extra days can be added at the 10% group discount rate\, if you want to stay longer. \n\n\n\nCall the Office at (863)665-1726 between 8AM and 5PM and ask for “Kristi” With a “K” from Corporate\, telling her you are with The TrailBlazers RV group.  After speaking with you\, “Kristi” will forward you to “Dana” who will assign you to an RV site and complete your reservation. There is a Holiday Inn Express nearby at 4500 Lakeland Park Drive\, Lakeland\, FL 33809 and Home2 Suites by Hilton at 3610 Hopewell Ave\, Lakeland\, FL 33809.  Again\, book quickly because reservations are filling up.  Several months before April approaches\, Sanlan RV will release our unreserved sites to other campers. \n\n\n\nAfter making your reservations\, email Christine Newman at pollytech42@yahoo.com to let he know which site you are staying in and how many are coming\, so Christine has a good headcount for Sunday’s brunch. \n\n\n\nWe will most likely be having our Friday evening restaurant outing at Fred’s Market Restaurant at 2120 Harden Blvd\, Lakeland\, FL 33803.  Fred’s Market is a buffet restaurant with great Southern style food.  We will have use of the Westside Recreation Hall directly across from our group site for our Saturday potluck and Sunday breakfast. \n\n\n\n$15 Rally Fee per RV will be collected at the rally to go toward Sunday’s food.
